Kruger National Park: world-class game show

I used the South African National Parks stay in Kruger National Park, two nights each at Pretoriuskop and Olifants camps. The park has about 20 of these camps. Including our park fees, we paid about $180 per night for the three of us.
This is a side of South Africa that somehow skates below the radar of Americans. We are conditioned by stories and ads in glossy travel magazines (and occasionally newspapers, including The Oregonian), into thinking that the only way to see the game parks of South Africa is to stay at a private game reserve for $800 per night, per person. Not so!
